Reporters representing foreign media outlets and freelance reporters willing to cover exercise IRON SWORD 2016 in Lithuania first of all should obtain accreditation, i.e. a permit of a set form, at the Public Relations Department of the Ministry of National Defence by sending to email [email protected] a filled out form and copies of an identity document and press card (if there is such), and contacting via phone No: +370 5 2785 270, +370 5 2785 208, or mobile phone No +370 698 11 340.


Note. There might be a case that the staff of the MoD Public Relations Department will ask to present a formal request by the editor-in-chief of a media outlet to visit a unit of the Lithuanian Armed Forces. 




Media representatives are invited to observe Exercise Iron Sword 2016 opening ceremony on November 20 at the General Silvestras Žukauskas Training Area and on November 21 on the Mechanised Infantry Brigade Iron Wolf parade ground in Rukla. Both ceremonies begin at 10.00 a.m.
