Defence Minister of Germany visit Lithuania

From June 10 to 11 delegation led by Defence Minister of the Federal Republic of Germany Dr Franz Josef Jung will come to Lithuania on a formal visit.

During the visit German guests will meet with the President of the Republic of Lithuania H.E. Valdas Adamkus, Minister of National Defence Rasa Juknevičiene, Chief of defence of Lithuania Lt. Gen. Valdas Tutkus, and members of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania. Points of current importance in the Alliance will be addressed during the meetings: the new Strategic Concept of NATO, plans of strengthening NATO Response Force, directions of NATO's defence policy, and bilateral military cooperation.

For the media: the guest will be formally met on June 10, Wednesday, at 14.00 hrs at the MoND Square. At 15.00 hrs Minister of National Defence Rasa Juknevičienė and German Defence Minister F. J. Jung will hold a media opportunity at the Ministry of National Defence (Totorių Str. 25/3, ground floor, Black Hall).
