Due to the reconstruction works at the Vytautas the Great Museum the following expositions of the Soldiership History of Lithuania (1795-1940) are temporarily closed: War of 1812, National uprisings in Lithuania in 1831and 1863-1864, Culture in Lithuania in the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century, National units of Lithuanians in composition of foreign countries' armed forces from the first half of the 19th century till the beginning of the 20th century,, Impact of World War I in Lithuania, exposition of weapons, memorial exposition of "Lituanica".

Information for the visitor

Working time:

From April till September from Tueasday till Sunday - 11.00-17.00 hrs.
From October till March from Tuesday till Saturday - 10.00-17.00 hrs.

Ticket price:
Adults - 4 Lt.
Schoolchildren, students, disabled persons, retired persons upon presentation of a relevant document - 2 Lt.
One photo and video permission in all the expositions and displays - 35 Lt.
One permission to take one picture at an exposition - 4 Lt.
Additional charge is collected for educational programs and tours.

Price of excursion:
Tour guide's services for a group under 20 members - 30 Lt;
Tour guide's services for a group between 21 and 30 persons - 40 lt.
Only tour guides working at the Vytautas the Great War Museum conduct tours at the expositions.

Price for educational program:
For a group of 5-12-graders - 50 Lt;
For a group of preschoolers or elementary school pupils - 30 Lt.

Free of charge visiting:
For preschoolers, children from orphanages, groups of socially vulnerable schoolchildren groups upon the application of a written request by the school's head teacher; for personnel of museums of the Republic of Lithuania, members of the International Council of Museums (ICOM), groups of members of the national armed forces and cadets, members of the Lithuanian Riflemen's Union, members of Birutiečių Association, former servicemembers of the inter-war Lithuania's armed forces, visitors during opening of expositions, and citizens of the Republic of Lithuania not younger than 70. Discounts and concessions are applied upon presentation of a document proving attribution to the before-mentioned groups.
