In memoria of G. Sereika – German Air Force soldiers

The last Saturday of January, on the 28th 2012, soldiers from German Air Force detachment, that is currently in charge of NATO Air policing mission above three Baltic States, accompanied by Lithuanian Air Force Air Base soldiers, participated in football match, organized by Lithuanian Prosecutor General office. It has been the 7th occasion when football match was organized in the name of killed prosecutor Gintautas Sereika, who was the big fan of football game. The match takes part in different town every year, for this year it was organized in Mažeikiai. The team of German Detachment, captained by Detachments' Commander Ltn. Col. Werner Theisen, were happy not only about the 3rd won place in the tournament, but also about donating for motherless.

"This is great, that every football competition, organized in memoria of G. Sereika keeps a glorious tradition - to donate for the orphanages", - mentioned the Attorney General of Lithuania Darius Valys.

German Air Force started their 5th NATO Air policing mission above Baltic States on the beginning of 2012.
