Periodical maintenance of aircrafts.     

Maintenance of weaponry and technics is done in the airshed and in laboratories where aircrafts, their engines, separate systems, anti-aircraft weaponry and radars of fire management are disassembled, tested with the control testing equipment and repaired under the necessity.    

Before trial/testing flight                     Cycle of periodical maintenance - ”regulation" - takes time from two weeks till two month. After it technics is tested (trial flight of aircrafts are done).

Diagnostics of engines.
The engine is the heart of the aircraft and only high qualification and long-term experience of the specialists can make it work ”clockwork".

To implement these jobs various equipment is used: fibroscopes, X-ray apparatus, equipment for vibration measurement; magnetic defectoscopy.

Change of main aggregate, modernization of old equipment.
One of the most complicated works is the change of main aggregates – engines, reducers, propellers.
With the lapse of time, equipment mounted into the aircrafts becomes old and does not match to the applied requirements. In that case equipment is modernized.

* Life-rafts, lifeboats, life jackets;

* Life-coveralls and helmets for pilots;

* Lifeguards' coveralls, belts;

*  Rescue-cranes;

*  Ejector-seats.

In respect to the task of the flight and type each aircraft is supplied with life saving equipment and technics: ejector seats, , boats, rafts, life jackets. During the regulation all this equipment and technics is thoroughly assessed/tested, repaired and supplied with food and radio equipment in the laboratories of  Depot.

Work of engineers
Only thorough analysis of flight parameters enables to assess if the aircraft is in good technical state and safe for the further exploitation. Decoding of flight-recorder data is usual work for the engineers.

Maintenance of anti-aircraft weaponry
Anti-aircraft weaponry completely different from the maintenance of the aircrafts only from the first look. But if you look closer there are a lot of similarities – radars, guns, hydraulics, control.
